Laie Elementary School is a public school in Laie, Hawaii. It offers the different year levels of pre-kindergarten to grade 6 with more than 600 students currently enrolled.
This school was a private school when it was established in 1895 under the Church of Jesus Christ and staffed by church missionaries. It was only in 1927 that the school was turned over to the government, changing its name to Laie Elementary School.
Laie Elementary School envisions its students to be learners who will become great leaders for tomorrow. This is being achieved by ensuring high and excellent academic standards, coupled with integrity and service to the citizenry.
This school meets the adequate yearly progress or the set minimum levels of improvement as specified in existing laws. This progress evaluation is based on student performance. It has current student-teacher ratio of 18:1.
