Hawaii Baptist Academy is a private, co-educational school providing primary and secondary education to more than a thousand students. It also offers preparatory school and kindergarten. Established in 1949, it is currently one of the largest Protestant schools In Hawaii.
Admission, however, is not open to all grade level because of continued education from year to year. Only Kindergarten, Grades 4 and 7 accept new enrollees. Admission is based on achievement tests although not all passers are admitted due to the limited system of admission. Applications are entertained starting September.
Academically, the Hawaii Baptist Academy relies on continuity as well. Lessons are given subject to subject and from grade level to grade level. It boasts of 100% acceptance of its graduates in college and universities.
Annual tuition ranges from $10,425 to $10,725 for the grade levels. On top of the tuition, there are other fees such as the comprehensive and book fees totaling to $900 or less. Comprehensive fee covers other expenses such as yearbook, student newspaper, locker and book rentals, and athletics. Annual, semestral, or monthly mode of tuition payment is accepted.
Currently, the Academy has three campuses. It passed the accreditation requirements of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges, an academic body that accredits public and private educational institutions in the United States.
