Waimanalo Beach Looking Towards Kailua
Waimanalo beach is one of the longest beaches on Oahu. The beach is an unbelievable three miles long. The beach park is one of the more favorite in Oahu, simply for the reason that it is very close to urban Honolulu and suburban Kailua and Kaneohe. This beautiful park has all facilities needed to enjoy your stay. You will be happy to know that lifeguards are on the park daily, and will assist you with any questions. The park also has a very nice shallow sandbar, and the surf is about one to two feet high, making it ideal for kids and novice wave riders. Some of the favorite pastimes here are beachcombing, fishing, surfing, swimming, and wave riding. The park also provides ample shade with the ironwood trees all year.
Waimanlo Beach with View of Rabbit Island
On the windy side of Oahu which includes the whole Waimanalo Beach, you will find jellyfish. These fish are also referred to as Portuguese man-of-war. If you have an allergy to bee stings, then you might want to check with the lifeguards to see if the man-of-war is out that day. Or, just take a quick peek along the beach to see if you can spot any. And if you do find some, well, there is always tomorrow....
If you are looking to travel to one of Hawaii's great beaches you may want to stay in one of the many Oahu vacation rentals while you are visiting.
