Sandy Beach

At the foot of the highest crater of Oahu shoreline, you will find Sandy beach. It is bordered by the famous Halona Blowhole. Sandy beach is known for its hard breaking waves, a true surfer’s paradise. These hard breaking waves come to pass by the steep, inclining foreshore, and the fact that the ocean bottom drops like a shot to a great deepness. Because of this, unbelievable waves are created that will shake your surfer heart to it's core. This beautiful beach has it all.

You will find restroom showers, picnic areas, and of course a kite-flying area. Because Sandy Beach is the most sought after surfing area, you will be able to make some of the most beautiful pictures your camera lens has ever been able to capture. Surfers from all over come here to show off their skills. So if you want to witness the beauty of body boarding, body surfing, or even skim-boarding, then this is the beach for you.

Because Sandy Beach holds the promise of back breaking waves all year round, it has a fulltime lifeguard staff. So before you contemplate to attempt these bone-shaking waves, be sure to check with the lifeguards before going into the water.
