The Ala Moana Beach and the Ala Moana Beach Park, is the largest beach park in Honolulu. Encompassed in this area is well over 100 acres of relaxation and recreation. Here you are guaranteed to find something you like, whether it is a game of softball, a visit to a relaxing comfort station, or if you just find you want to have a bite to eat after playing tennis, you will find it here. If you simply want to wander along the beach, Ala Moana’s swimming channel is where you want to be.

A few of the many activities at Ala Moana Beach Park are bodyboarding, fishing, scuba diving, swimming, and surfing.

This channel used to be a boat channel that was dug out to depths of 25 feet. To the east of this you will find spectacular white beaches and a beautiful lagoon. As well as being the largest park, the Ala Moana Beach Park is also the most popular, and is frequented by surfers, swimmers, model boat sailors, and the like, all taking advantage of this truly amazing recreational wonder that combines both park and beach. And lastly, watch out for the jellyfish here in this area. If ever in doubt, make sure to check in at the lifeguard stations to find out if it is safe to swim.
